7-Part Classic Belly Dance Routine Online Course

Between the 1950s and 1970s, Classic American Belly Dance developed its own style. One of its legacies is the 5- and 7-part routine. In this course, we’ll sample the different sections. Learn the music order. What to do in each section. When and how to use a prop. Safety is first in floorwork. How a band and dancer indicate a transition to the next section. The difference between an Egyptian and Turkish entrance.

Although not a requirement, it would be helpful to have zils (finger cymbals), rectangular veil, large skirt and knee pads/yoga mat.
